Carter Sox is an employment attorney located in our Hollywood, Florida office representing both employees and employers. Carter represents clients in all aspects of litigation involving the Fair Labor Standards Act, overtime compensation, minimum wages, equal pay, unemployment compensation, discrimination, harassment, workers' compensation retaliation, whistleblower, and wrongful termination, among other employment disputes. 

Carter also helps clients get short-term and long-term disability benefits from insurance companies. She represents people with disability claims, disability appeals, and litigation of wrongfully denied disability benefits. She has represented clients with claims against numerous insurance companies and plan administrators, including Prudential, UNUM, Hartford, Aetna, Cigna, Liberty Life, Lincoln Financial, Sun Life, Voya, Sedgwick, and more. She also advises clients on the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA).

Prior to joining Gallup Auerbach, Carter spent several years working exclusively as an employee benefits (ERISA) attorney, first in California representing Taft-Hartley benefit funds, then in Miami representing clients with claims for long-term disability benefits. She has experience in all aspects of federal litigation.
